Meeting of economic advisors from EU member states and bilateral chambers of commerce
The President of the Chambre of Commerce and Industry France Armenia Tigran Arakelian was present at the meeting of economic advisors from European Union member states and bilateral chambers of commerce held at the Embassy of the EU Delegation.
Various topics related to recent developments in EU-Armenia relations were discussed, as well as the trade aspects of the new partnership agenda and future initiatives of EU support for Armenia's economic diversification.
During the discussions, the President of the CCI raised the current problem of imports of French animal products onto the Armenian market, and proposed solutions, notably the granting of long-term quotas (rather than the current 6-month quotas), or different regulations at the level of the EEU.
